    A day in the life:

    As an intern in our software development department you’ll work on a project of real value to the company. You’ll participate in periodic team meetings with software engineers, quality advocates, and user documentation specialists. In short, you’ll learn what software development is all about by doing it!

     

    This is a 12 week internship program with an hourly rate of $18.00. Weekly schedule is flexible.

    Responsibilities

    • Work on a software development project of real value to the company
    • Documentation and testing new software applications
    • Participate in periodic team meetings with software engineers, quality advocates, and user documentation specialists

     

    Learning Objectives:
    The software development intern will develop a working knowledge of how a software company creates, tests, validates and delivers new product via an agile software development process. They will also be exposed to the healthcare IT market and learn about the specific challenges of developing for that market. However, in addition to knowledge concerning the healthcare industry, skills learned at FormFast will be applicable to any sort of software development organization.

    Qualifications

    • Familiarity with OOP
    • Prior exposure to projects using .Net/C#
    • Ability to solve problems, ability to debug and troubleshoot complex software and identify solution options and alternatives
    • Skill in oral and written communication
    • Skill in operating office and technological equipment and software
    • Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers
    • Ability to work independently and meet managerial goals
    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
    • Ability to organize daily activities of self and others and to work as a team player

     

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma
    • Actively pursuing a degree in in computer science, computer engineering or a similar degree
